In West Moors Brownies unit, we are an active group and work towards our interest badges, and the girls have lots of fun.
During the spring term, we have completed disability awareness badge and we had a visitor come in and spoke about Dementia and the girls became dementia friends, and a Wheelchair user visited.
We celebrated Chinese New Year, had a sleepover with breakfast at Haskins. We made pancakes and painting pots for Mother’s Day. On the last evening before holidays, we are going swimming.
In the summer months we like to do a lot of outdoor activities such as trips to Moors Valley, strawberry picking, bat walks. More to look forward to in the summer!
During the Brownie pack holidays every year and we get to visit some cool places of interest such as London. We took part in the division ‘Shipwrecked’ activity day with over 100 Brownies from the local area. We dressed up as pirates and had a great day doing body zorbing, decorating sandals, making hair bands, playing on the bouncy castle and going on a treasure hunt.
